About Dr. Gail Schupak
After graduating with a B.A. in Biology from the University of Rochester, Dr. Gail Schupak earned her D.M.D. from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in 1983. Two years later, she received her Certificate in Orthodontics from the Columbia University School of Dental and Oral Surgery. Since 1993, she has been a Clinical Assistant Professor at the New York University Dental School with appointments in the Departments of Orthodontics and Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Schupak is a Diplomat of the American Board of Orthodontics.
Registered in both New York and New Jersey, Dr. Schupak is a member of numerous local and national dental organizations, including the American Association of Orthodontists and is the Immediate Past President of the New York chapter of the American Association of Women Dentists. She was also a past president of the New York Academy of Orthodontics.
In her spare time, she is a Special Olympics/Special Smiles volunteer and President of the Alpha Omega NY chapter, and a volunteer with the Alumni Network at the University of Rochester. She is on the board of the Alpha Omega Dental Foundation, a charitable organization committed to furthering Philanthropic needs. When she’s away from the office, Dr. Schupak enjoys spending time with her daughter, Sarah.
About Dr. Janine Ellis
After receiving her Bachelor of Science degree in Statistical Sciences from the University of Western Ontario, Dr. Janine Ellis went on to the New York University College of Dentistry on a full scholarship and earned her D.D.S. in 2001. She completed a one-year general practice residency at Long Island Jewish Medical Center and received her Certificate in Orthodontics from Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine in 2006. Dr. Ellis is a Diplomat of the American Board of Orthodontics and also has completed the Canadian Orthodontic Boards. She is CPR, NERB and Invisalign certified.
A recipient of numerous accolades through her academic career including the American Association of Orthodontics award, Dr. Ellis served in a large capacity to the Alpha Omega International Dental Fraternity, Iota Chapter, where she held offices such as President Emeritus/Rush Director, President, Vice President and Class Representative. She was also a member of the student government. She is currently a member of the American Association of Orthodontics, Northeastern Society of Orthodontics, American Dental Association, American Association of Woman Dentists, the New York County Dental Society and the New York State Dental Association.
In 2002, Dr. Ellis assisted Dr. Gail Schupak in her practice before joining her as an associate in July 2006.
Dr. Ellis is happily married to her husband Matt and the proud mother of two boys Ryan and Justin.
