Dr. Shayna Avinoam is a certified craniofacial orthodontist specializing in cleft lip and palate and craniofacial conditions. Dr. Avinoam received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Toronto, followed by residency training at the University of Illinois at Chicago, where she received a Master of Science and Oral Science, and an advanced certificate in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics. She completed her training at NYU Langone’s prestigious HansjÖrg Wyss Department of Plastic Surgery, where she was a fellow in plastic surgery, specializing in craniofacial orthodontics. Dr. Avinoam has dedicated her medical career to the improvement and innovation in the treatment of craniofacial anomalies. Her focus on comprehensive care and patient-focused treatment are the pillars with which she practices.

After graduating with a B.A. in Biology from the University of Rochester, Dr. Gail Schupak earned her D.M.D. from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in 1983. Two years later, she received her Certificate in Orthodontics from the Columbia University School of Dental and Oral Surgery. She has been in orthodontic practice since 1985 and has been a Clinical Assistant Professor at the New York University College of Dentistry with an appointment in the Department of Orthodontics since 1993.
